Meet our New Director of Food Services (Chef)

on July 18, 2022 By Molly Huddle Coffey | community
When Kevin Douglas, our long-time School Chef, resident Star Wars expert, house band, and sometime Martial Arts teacher announced he was leaving RPS this spring, we set out to find a chef who could bring their own set of skills and passions to the position. We knew we could never find someone just like Kevin, but we thought we might find someone who could make a creative and delicious school menu, mentor our students in the kitchen, and share their interests with the community.

Prom 2022

Prom is a rite of passage for many high school students. It can also be a source of stress and anxiety, a time when some people feel left out or overlooked. At Rock Point School, we want prom to be a celebration of spring and the end of the school year that every student can enjoy. We try to infuse fun and not take things too seriously, which is why the dress code is flexible and often involves costumes and wigs. While it’s unlikely that you’ll see “Prom-posals” in the hallways, our students get excited about our prom traditions, and the prom committee loves creating a fun theme that stays secret from the rest of the school.
