Gender & Sexuality Alliance Conference Nov. 17th

on November 18, 2021 By Abbey Baker | Open & Inclusive
Rock Point School's Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) provides a space for students to discuss identity, belonging, community, activism, and more. Every week, we gather and hold a student-facilitated meeting that focuses on any relevant topics students want to discuss and address. We make crafts, eat snacks, and generally support each other in finding our ways with regard to gender, sexuality, and more.

Designer and Engineer Sam Holland Visits RPS

on October 7, 2021 By Molly Huddle Coffey | high school academics
Sam Holland works to make the imagined real. As a former engineering student of our math tutor, Michael Coleman, Sam took his curiosity about how things were made and became a mechanical engineer. He has worked at places like MakerBot and Vimeo, and now, he owns his own business called informal.cc, where he helps companies of all sizes create hardware. We are thrilled that he decided to visit Rock Point School and work on 3-D design and printing projects with our students.

Wiffle Fest 2021: Back in the Game!

on August 16, 2021 By Molly Huddle Coffey | community
Wiffle Fest began twenty-three years ago with C.J. Spirito's dream to get people together in the summer with one of his favorite activities. Over the years it has grown into a true Wiffle Festival, bringing out the sweet spirit of community so unique to Rock Point events while raising money to support the mission of the school. As former Headmaster John Rouleau noted about the event, Wiffle Fest has a little bit of the magic of the Legend of Brigadoon!
