The holiday season is here and it is part of our Rock Point traditions to think of those who may not enjoy the plentiful bounty that we are so lucky to have.
This year, we've come up with a new way to lend a helping hand: a fun run at the school where runners are are encouraged to bring a can of food for the food shelf. That's where we got the name – Rock Point School Runs Because We CAN :-) It looks to be a good time for all, and for a good cause. What's more, we're hoping to host these runs on a monthly basis to provide a continuous stream of donations to the food shelf. Watch this space for the announcement of next month's run.
This Saturday's run will be a chance to honor the Solstice to boot! Let's all meet at 9:00 a.m. at the school for a 3, 5, or 10 mile run.
